Back in February of 1999 Liz showed me her initial writings using the method of automatic writing. It was an amazing time as messages were deciphered and news that had been relayed to her would find itself appearing in the news within a few days. It was a time of enlightenment for Liz and also for those of us around her.
As Liz’s brother I was privy to everything that was happening and in particular to how her psychic abilities were evolving. From a personal perspective my belief in what was unfolding was complete, however Liz or perhaps someone on the other side wanted to provide me with some personal validation.
My passion had always been sports and will this in mind it seemed wholly logical to me that the message Liz had for me would come from that arena. The sport in question was horse racing and is a subject that I can honestly say Liz knows nothing whatsoever about, nor does she wish to.
Liz called me to say that the writing she had done the evening before contained a message from our grandfather who had passed years earlier. Like me he was a sports fan and I guess he knew that a message of this nature would at the very least gain my attention. When Liz gave me the message I was a little disappointed to be honest as I believed the message to be wrong and of little substance. What Liz had passed on to me was the name of a horse that would be running soon and a price that the horse would be. I was also told that the horse in question would not win, apparently financially benefiting from this news was not to be part of the deal.
My problem with Liz’s message was that I was 100% sure that there was not currently any horse racing in the UK with the name she had given me. My knowledge on the subject was extremely high and I believed that in this case she must be mistaken. The name of the horse our grandfather had given was Sunshine Boy. The price that was relevant to it was a price of 4/1. This was my message, to watch for this happening and also that the horse would lose.
Almost three weeks had passed by, when one Sunday afternoon I opened the racing pages to find there in the final race of the day the name of Sunshine Boy. Running in a three year old maiden race at Ripon, the horse was making it’s debut. The reason I had never heard of it was because it had never been seen in public before! The chances of Liz picking this name out of the stratosphere under these circumstances would be incalculable. So what about the price in question, the 4/1. Once the betting opened for the race our friend Sunshine Boy opened in price at, you guessed it 4/1. Not only that it remained that price on screen for the duration of the pre-race betting market (although I think it returned a fraction shorter). There were eight runners in the race and even as a strongly fancied second favorite and also ridden by the existing champion jockey the horse lost as the message predicted.
The message from beyond the grave had been delivered via automatic writing and was wholly personal to me. It was a message that struck a chord and contained information that nobody could possibly have known or even guessed at. It was a message that confirmed Liz’s gift to me if any confirmation was indeed needed.
